TRY THESE WITH KIDS!


1. Waiting Reflection

Ask: “Can you think of a time when waiting for something made the outcome better?” (Examples: cookies baking, waiting for your birthday, practicing before a game). Let a few share, then connect: “Patience often makes the reward stronger.”


2. One-Minute Observation

Have students stare at a simple object (like a pencil, leaf, or classroom item) for one full minute in silence. Then ask: “What new details did you notice?” Connect it to slowing down and being patient.


3. The “Waiting Game” Question

Pose a fun riddle but make them wait 30 seconds before answering: “What has hands but can’t clap?” (Answer: a clock). Reflect: “What was it like to hold your answer instead of blurting it out?”
