My Journey

I know how it feels to be stuck, scared, and overwhelmed.

​

At 22, I lost a close friend in a violent attack and my dad unexpectedly to a heart attack 8 months later.​​

I fought these harsh realities by shoving down the sadness, anger and grief. Without even realizing, I partied too much to avoid the pain. I dove into unhealthy amounts of work to run from it. I didn't talk about it much.

The pain didn't go away. It grew stronger. I couldn't run anymore.

 

So, I left the corporate grind to connect with myself, find my purpose and to pursue my passion of connecting deeply with others, uplifting and supporting them through their struggles.

I started putting in the work, deep within myself. Facing reality. Facing the grief. Feeling the emotions sober. Releasing the anger productively in healthy ways. Talking with others about it my life and experiences.

 

I dove deep into breathwork and meditation which helped me tremendously. I journaled daily. I invested in personal development workshops, retreats, and private life coaching.

Then, I got certified as a life coach, was trained to facilitate breathwork meditations, and moved to Costa Rica to access a healthier way of life with my now wife!

 

Life threw me more challenges - testing me to the core. I lost hundreds of thousands of dollars to a fraud investor, 2 friends overdosed and died, and my mom passed unexpectedly from a brain hemorrhage.

This time around, I was prepared. I knew how to ride the emotional rollercoaster of grief. I knew how to release my anger in a healthy way.

 

I had a support system I could call and talk to about my challenges. I didn't blame myself, or beat myself up for the "mistakes". I was powerfully present through it all.

 

I still experience anxiety. I still get pissed off. I still mess up. But now, I face my challenges head on, and I love my way through.

 

Life flows smoother now. That's why I choose to support others. To help them flow.

Ben is a certified life coach, motivational speaker, breathwork meditation facilitator, athlete, musician, and entrepreneur who has travelled the world inspiring young people to be the best they can be

​

Ben is the Founder and Executive Director of Give N' Grow and has impacted over 60,000 people across the US with mental health programs and social emotional learning in collaboration with many NBA teams, players, and sports psychologists.

​

He's impacted thousands of teens through his middle and high school keynotes, team mental performance trainings, and in his role as group therapy facilitator with Charlie Health.

​

Prior to shifting his career to holistic health and wellness, Ben worked in the Atlanta Hawks front office, and was a footwear developer for Under Armour where he helped to create custom shoes worn by NBA players, including Steph Curry.

​

Ben has the ability to connect with people from all walks of life, all around the world. He lived in Ghana as a mentor/coach for young athletes helping a handful get scholarships to the US, and he currently lives in Costa Rica where he shares his unique blend of music, movement, and meditation with kids, teens, and adults.

Anxiety

I've experienced anxiety most of my life, but didn't know it. Once I became aware, I became empowered and found tools to help me rise above it. No more anxiety running the show. Time to take the lead of your life.

Anger

Anger is fire. Fire can fuel greatness. Growing up, I didn't know how to express my fire without hurting others. Nobody taught me how. Now I understand anger, I express it effectively, and even use it to my advantage.

Adversity

Life is full of hardship. The hole that losing a loved one leaves. The waves of sadness and depression. The questioning of life and why this has to happen. I am here to listen and help you flow through life's toughest challenges.

Relationships

To me, relationships are the most important thing in life. Our relationship with ourselves, with others, with food, with porn, with drugs... I'll help you build healthy relationships with life that move you towards your goals. 

Confidence

In college, I was afraid of  presenting to a class of 6 people. I literally couldn't talk. Now I give talks in front of hundreds of people. I have a toolbox full of tools to help you build confidence.

Communication

You ever feel afraid to have an important conversation? Don't have the words. Don't want to hurt feelings. I'll share a framework to help gather your thoughts, and say what you need to say with love.

How I'll Help You

I use a variety of practices to help young men break through their limitations and become their best selves:

  • Mental Focus & Clarity: Using Breathwork Meditations to calm your mind, manage anxiety and release stress on command.

  • Emotion Release & Repurposing: We'll use a variety of tools to help move anger, fear, and shame through you in healthy ways and repurpose that energy for your benefit.

  • Self-Awareness Techniques: To help you listen to your needs (even unconscious one's) and feel more connected to your self, eliminating self-sabotage.

  • Custom Comfort Challenges: We’ll intentionally and mindfully face situations that challenge and even scare you, so you can expand your comfort zone, grow, and achieve your goals.

 

These practical techniques are real-world tools that you can apply to your everyday life.
