TRY THESE WITH KIDS!
1. Notice Your Breath
Ask: “Put your hand on your chest and take one slow breath in and out. What do you feel moving?” This helps students link thoughts of calm with physical sensations.
2. Tense & Release
Guide: “Make your fists really tight… hold… now release. What do you notice/feel in your body?” A quick way to show how the body carries stress and lets it go. Try it with different body parts.
3. Emotion Check-In
Prompt: “Where do you feel excitement in your body? Where do you feel frustration?” Students share (e.g., “butterflies in my stomach”), connecting emotions to physical signals.
