TRY THESE WITH KIDS


1. Imagine Their Shoes

Ask: “Think of someone who had a hard day. Briefly describe the challenges they faced. What might it feel like to be in their shoes?” Invite a few shares to practice perspective-taking.


2. Kindness Ripple

Prompt: “What’s one small kind action you could do for someone today?” (Example: share supplies, give a compliment). "How might that affect the rest of their day?" Let students share ideas and notice how compassion spreads.


3. Comfort Role-Play

Pair students up: one acts sad, the other practices a compassionate response (kind words, asking how to help). Switch roles, then reflect on what felt good to receive.
